''Twisted Trinkets''
When I was around 7 years old I had an elderly lady for a next-door-neighbor who obsessively collected porcelian trinkets that cluttered her tiny apartment. She would often invite my friend Tania and I for tea and trinkets, no kidding....we would always leave with a trinket or two that she gave us so willingly. Even though I had little use for it I layed them out on my dresser but soon got bored with them and either I threw them out or gave them all away. The old lady died soon after....Speaking of ornamental knick knacks and such, perhaps if they had looked anything like these ones I might have held onto them a little longer.

90's Jersey Girls
Highlights from a 1994 documentary called Wildwood, NJ (directed by Carol Weaks/Cassidy and Ruth Leitman). Via Dlisted. I particularly enjoyed the sour girl's expression with her thumbs down rating at the 3:32 mark...she does not approve.

The Golden Opulence Sundae
The most expensive ice creme. Ever.
What's it made of you ask?
“5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf, the sundae is drizzled with the world’s most expensive chocolate, Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela’s coast. The masterpiece is suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries. It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color. It’s sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac. The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon to partake in the indulgence served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a gilded sugar flower by Ron Ben-Israel.”

'The September Issue' Trailer
“Anna Wintour, the legendary editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine for twenty years, is the most powerful and polarizing figure in fashion. Hidden behind her trademark bob and sunglasses, she has never allowed anyone to scrutinize the inner workings of her magazine. Until now. With unprecedented access, filmmaker R.J. Cutlers new film, takes the viewer inside a world they only think they know. Every August a record-breaking number of people cant wait to blah blah blah...”
